Methi has long been a staple of Indian cuisine. A typical ingredient in curries and sauces, methi microgreens can also be used to add flavor and aroma to salads and other microgreen uses. These deep green strong stemmed plants have a wonderfully intricate patterning on leaves that you can see in our photos.
Western naming for methi is fenugreek and it has an aroma that awakens memories of mornings with pancakes and maple syrup! The flavor is slightly sweet bitter to add a complex nature to dishes.
The MicroFarm kit provides our innovative microgreen growing system (2 piece bottom wicking tray system) and includes sprouting seed packets of our Non GMO and organic methi or fenugreek seeds. The growing media is organic coir wafers which is enough coir based “soil” for full trays as pictured.
One of the biggest hurdles for the microgreen grower is the watering of these tiny plants. Our Grow to Eat kits allow the plants to "sip" the proper amount of water without any work other than keeping water in the lower tray. The kits contain enough supplies to grow a complete tray as pictured. Ready to eat in 7-10 days! Not only the freshest but most nutritionally rich food you can get!
